Democrats Abroad offers members a moderated listserv

The listserv is a discussion forum for a wide array of issues of
mutual interest—from American politics and foreign policy
to analysis of media coverage, current events—even how best
to contact your representatives in Congress.
Currently about 350 members are on this listserv. DA France wishes
to encourage interested members to join and share thoughts and ideas
with Democrats around the world, especially as we move into the
crucial 2008 Presidential election cycle.
You can set the listserv delivery system to email messages as they
come in, one by one, or in a daily digest form, which some people
find more manageable. If you wish to avoid receiving any email,
you can read the messages online.
The listserv is moderated by John McCreery (DA Japan) and operates
under certain rules & guidelines:
All messages must be signed with your name and country.
No one-line responses. These should be sent directly to the individual.
No long message trails. Please delete all except the relevant
portions
when responding.
No personal abuse. Issues are fair game, individuals are not.
No full text quotations. If you like an article, extract the bit
you
like
best and include the URL for the full text.
Personal introduction required. Do not simply forward an article,
action
alert, etc. Include a personal explanation of why you think we all
must read it. Please restrict forwarding to items of exceptional
interest.
We need to strike a balance between stimulating discussion and
flooding inboxes. Please restrict messages to a maximum of two
per day.
